Frequently Asked Questions
What will the weather be like?
March is one of the best times to visit Hong Kong. Weather is mostly pleasant and warm with minimal rainfall. Temperatures tend to range from 17 to 21°C.
What should I wear?
The dress code is formal attire - we would love to see everyone in their Sunday best. The ceremony will be on a lawn - ladies, please be mindful about your choice of footwear. If it rains - stilettos are not recommended.
Should I eat before the wedding?
We recommend having lunch before coming to the wedding at 4pm. There will be canapés at 5pm after the ceremony on the lawn, and dinner will be served at 7pm.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by 31st January 2024, so we can have an accurate headcount for catering purposes.
Can I bring a date?
Please check the envelope of your invite to check who has been invited and please do ask if you have any questions about plus ones!
Are children welcome?
Children are welcome, but please let us know beforehand in the RSVP.
Are dogs allowed?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed at the Hong Kong Country Club.
Will Riley be there?
*for those who don't know, Riley is our dog (photos above/below)
Sadly, we won't be able to bring Riley to Hong Kong in March. However, she will definitely be there for the May/June event in the UK!
When will Viv and Mark be in Hong Kong?
We will be in Hong Kong from the 14th to 31st of March and hope to spend as much time with friends and family before and after the wedding.
Gifts
The most important gift to us is your presence and having you share our special day with us.
We understand that some will choose to follow the Chinese tradition of using red packets/laisees on the day. Please do what is most comfortable for you and remember that your presence is most important to us. For those who may not be able to attend, but would like to give a gift, we have a small honeymoon fund here:
